heather hughes hangs her heart in her current town of Somerville and her native Miami. She is an Associate Editor at Harvard University Press, with a special focus on facing-page translation series.
Her poems have appeared in The Adroit Journal, Barrow Street, decomP, Denver Quarterly, Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Gulf Coast, Painted Bride Quarterly, Sidereal Magazine and Vinyl; and she has been a Levis Prize Finalist, as well as a Best of the Net and a Pushcart Prize nominee. heather writes for Mass Poetry online and is an editorial associate for Scoundrel Time. She ALM-ed at Harvard University Extension School in foreign language, literature, and culture; and she MFA-ed at Lesley University in poetry.
heather is smitten with letterpress printing and devoted to hand typesetting. She serves as the nonresident tutor in letterpress at the Bow & Arrow Press at Harvard University. Her work has been displayed at the Cambridge Public Library and at NASA for the James Webb Space Telescope Art Show 2017. She prints commissions, postcards, broadsides, and block illustrations.
She never outgrew her science fiction & fantasy obsession.
